Place and Time

The day of surgery must be presented at the Surgical Center agreed approximately 1 hour before the scheduled time for intervention. The schedule of the intervention can be modified the same day according to the availability of the qurphane.

Documentation and Studies

It must be carried:

1. Personal documentation that proves the identity.
2. Pre-surgical studies performed: blood: Complete blood count, blood chemistry, coagulation times (TP and TTP).
3. Radiography and / or tomography studies, if applicable.
4. Informed consent signed by the patient or responsible family members, in the case of a child under 18 years of age.
5. In the corresponding cases, you must take the documents and authorizations of your medical coverage.

Pre-surgical Fasting

The surgery must be performed at LEAST 6 hours of fasting for liquids and 8 hours of fasting for solids. If the intervention was done during the morning hours, we recommend having dinner normally the day before the surgery, and the morning of the surgery not eating or taking anything.

Previous medication

It is important not to take aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) during the week prior to surgery because it interferes with coagulation. For the rest of the medicines it is advisable to consult us. After the surgery, antibiotics will be indicated.

Tobacco

It is demonstrated that smoking can cause scar problems that would interfere with normal healing. It is not essential, but it is recommended not to smoke the week before the intervention. More important is to abstain from smoking the days after surgery.

Anxiety control

It is normal to experience some anxiety the days before surgery. If the day of the intervention has anxiety, a medication can be administered before the intervention.

Other tips

• Wear clothes that are comfortable to wear without going through the head, for example, shirt, closing jacket and avoid t-shirts or sweater. It is not necessary to wear special clothes because the Surgical Center provides the necessary clothes to enter the operating room.
• Let us know if there is any pre-existing pathology, special health condition or allergy to any medication.
• Consult all the questions that arise, for this, they will have our personal cell phones and other means of communication (email, SMS, office phones and the rest of the surgical team)

Patients traveling especially to Reynosa

For those who travel especially for the intervention we usually have a meeting in the office one or two days before the surgery to make the full aesthetic, functional and photographic evaluation. During this visit, all the objectives of the intervention are reviewed again and any doubts that may arise are cleared up.
